Our Story

Bází is the brainchild of partners Chef Michael Pirolo and Jen Chaefsky, owners of Miami’s most beloved Italian restaurant, Macchialina.  Ranked among the top “South Florida Food 50” by The Miami Herald (February 2015).

The duo’s new creation, Bází, opened September 2015, takes you on a culinary journey through the best that East Asia has to offer. The technique driven menu, showcasing Pirolo’s deft skill for layering flavors, creates an unforgettable experience.
